So how do you stay calm, composed and maintain self esteem in a tough environment? Here are some tips you may to consider as a starter guide to self improvement.

Imagine yourself as a Dart Board. Everything and everyone else around you may become Dart Pins, at one point or another. These dart pins will destroy your self esteem and pull you down in ways you won’t even remember. Don’t let them destroy you, or get the best of you. So which dart pins should you avoid?

Dart Pin 1: Negative Work Environment
Beware of “dog eat dog” theory where everyone else is fighting just to get ahead. This is where non-appreciative people usually thrive. No one will appreciate your contributions even if you miss lunch and dinner, and stay up late. Most of the time you get to work too much without getting help from people concerned. Stay out of this, it will ruin your self esteem. Competition is at stake anywhere. Be healthy enough to compete, but in a healthy competition that is.

Dart Pin 2: Other People’s Behavior
Bulldozers, brown nosers, gossipmongers, whiners, backstabbers, snipers, people walking wounded, controllers, naggers, complainers, exploders, patronizers, sluffers; all these kinds of people will pose bad vibes for your self esteem, as well as to your self improvement scheme.

Dart Pin 3: Changing Environment
You can’t be a green bug on a brown field. Changes challenge our paradigms. It tests our flexibility, adaptability and alters the way we think. Changes will make life difficult for awhile, it may cause stress but it will help us find ways to improve our selves. Change will be there forever, we must be susceptible to it.

Along the battle, we will get hit and bruised. And wearing a bullet proof armor ideally means ‘self change’. The kind of change which comes from within. Voluntarily. Armor or Self Change changes 3 things: our attitude, our behavior and our way of thinking.

Building self esteem will eventually lead to self improvement if we start to become responsible for who we are, what we have and what we do. It’s like a flame that should gradually spread like a brush fire from inside and out. When we develop self esteem, we take control of our mission, values and discipline. Self esteem brings about self improvement, true assessment, and determination. So how do you start putting up the building blocks of self esteem? Be positive.

Libra
Let’s say your charming Libra guy loves his TV and video games, and suddenly he starts quoting Proust (who’s that?) A new interest or hobbies, activities and even eating new kinds of food are signs there might be cheating going on. One woman I read for, her Libra guy liked his steak and potatoes every night and suddenly he was asking for things she couldn’t even pronounce. Or he starts talking about Harry Potter when you two don’t have any kids, or he suddenly he wants to take golf lessons. Think about when you were dating. Scorpio
If your Scorpio guy suddenly loses interest in sex, you KNOW you’ve got a problem. It means he’s probably getting it somewhere else. Another sure sign of cheating is if suddenly he’s got new ideas and wants you to do strange things. He always loved you in your flannel jams and now he wants you to go to Victoria’s Secret.

Sagittarius
Lies, of course, because Sag is honest and outspoken. If he suddenly quits talking, gets evasive, or even worse, you catch him in an outright lie, you know there’s trouble. A simple question like, “How was your day?” can bring this on. He walks in in a mood – you can tell – and ordinarily you’d hear what happened – my boss doesn’t know what he’s doing, or the car repair ship is dishonest, and instead he looks away, or says “Oh, nothing.” Another woman could be causing this mood he doesn’t want to talk about.

Capricorn
Slacking off and day-dreaming, that’s a sure sign this hard-working guy has something else on his mind. If he’s suddenly taking off work to do this or that (guess what?), not getting up in time to get to work on time, getting write-ups from the boss and just doesn’t seem that interested in his job any more, this can be a sign.

Aquarius
Accusing you of having an affair. Well that’s just one of the nutty things men do – turn it around. They start sneaking around, so of course they suspect YOU of sneaking around. Sometimes too they’ll just pick a fight hoping you’ll avoid them. Ordinarily too distant to get particular like this, if your Aquarian guy starts paying an awful lot of attention to what you’re doing, it could be an early warning sign.

Pisces
Overtime or working later. Especially if this is NEW. It’s an easy way (they think) to cover up an affair. This is an easy way for Pisces to cheat, because they have more spare time on their hands to begin with. If suddenly he’s got weird meetings all the time, in the evening, or has to go out-of-town on business on the weekend, better look into it.

Every parent knows: their child is different, special. Truly every child is unique. But many who are around children notice that some children act one way and others act another. Children born in the early summer (Geminis) tend to be very social but those just a little later (Cancers) are a wee bit shy. You can learn a lot about your child simply by learning about their astrology sign and what this means to them.

You can easily find your child’s astrology sign by knowing their birth date – and checking against the dates below. Children born on the cusp – the edge of any of the signs may have some of the characteristics of both of the signs they are born near. Aries (March 21 – April 20).

The biggest challenge with a Gemini child is sometimes getting them to simply sit still and focus: to eat a meal, get their homework done and spend some time with the family. Cancer (June 22 – July 22).

If you have a certain dream or goal that you want to achieve, whether it is as small as making $100 this month or as big as creating permanent world peace, the very first thing you must do is to determine EXACTLY what it is that you want.

FOCUS
More than just a general idea, if you can narrow your dreams, desires, or goals down to an exact list of things that you want to accomplish, you will put yourself in the position where you can begin to piece together everything that will be needed to make this goal your reality.

VISION
Something else that is important to keep in mind: before anything exists materially around you, it has to first exist as a thought within you. There is always going to be a time delay between seeing something in your mind and holding it in front of you, and you may have heard the term ‘manifest’ used in describing this process.

ACTION
The few people who have really figured out how to get exactly what they want without fail every time, these are the people that are good at ‘manifesting,’ but this does not mean that they have completely overcome the time delay inherent in the creative process. Rather, they have become good at turning their thoughts into their reality by working to make this time delay as short as possible.

PASSION
So once you have chosen a specific thing that you want to achieve, if you want it as soon as possible then you must make sure that it is something that you genuinely feel excited about. Hopefully you will feel so excited that you may even have trouble sleeping! Problems will arise, however, if the goal you want to achieve is not something that you feel passionate about.

Let’s look at an example of this to better understand why excitement, anticipation, and passion can be powerful tools that can work for you to help you achieve your dreams: You have recently moved into a larger and more luxurious home, but at the same time your business began to slow down so that now you are having real financial trouble keeping up with the expenses.

If you set a goal to increase your cash flow so that you are no longer under this financial stress, make sure that you create this desire in a way that makes you feel genuinely excited about this new future.

If you set your goal to be ‘I just want to make enough money to pay my bills,’ this is not a goal that seems very exciting, not to mention that you are fixating on the idea of lack and not having enough money to pay your current expenses.

On the other hand, if you form your goal in a way that is more resembling ‘I love my new life in my big new house where I can live completely worry-free, and the only choices I need to make are which country I want to travel to next,’ this is a dream that will fill you will anticipation for the future. Do you see the difference?

You will be excited to wake up in the morning and work on achieving this new life, rather than focusing on what you currently feel is lacking in your life. If you focus on the lack of something, you are only setting yourself up to experience more of that lack.
