Mexican Warlock Antonia Vazquez

Mexican warlock and Tarot card Reader Antonia Vazquez has used made the Psychic Prediction that President Obama will fail in his re-election bid for 2012.

As recently reported by abc.net.au, Vazquez made the prediction through a blend of Astrology Prediction observations and Tarot Card Readings.

In a traditional New Year’s forecast, Mexico’s Grand Warlock also predicted that two more Latin American leaders would be diagnosed with cancer.

The Grand Warlock, or “Brujo Mayor” in Spanish, leads a Mexican tradition of “brujeria” or sorcery centred in the south-eastern city of Catemaco.

Also known as Antonio Vazquez, he said that Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, who claims to have beaten an unspecified cancer, would have a “terrible relapse”.

Argentina’s president Cristina Kirchner, Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff, former Brazilian leader Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Paraguay’s Fernando Lugo have been diagnosed with cancer in recent years.

Mr Chavez suggested last month that the spate of cancer among leftist leaders could be a US plot.

Mr Vazquez, who sports a long grey beard, put the cancer cases down to “witchcraft” against Latin American leaders, during the Mexico City news conference giving his 25th annual predictions.

He claimed Mexico’s Institutional Revolutionary Party, which ruled for more than 70 years to 2000, would return to power with its candidate Enrique Pena Nieto winning the presidency in July.

Mr Vazquez, who claims to have a 75-80 per cent accuracy rate, last year said the euro would weaken and recession would return to developed economies but he also incorrectly predicted that a Latin American leader would be assassinated.

In January of 2011, popular Astrologer Jeanne Mozier told a West Virginia audience that events in 1848 in Europe was the basis for her prediction that 2011 would be a year of revolutions around the world. Then came the Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street.

“The good news for 2012,” she told an audience of nearly 25 in the Great Room at O’Hurley’s General Store in Shepherdstown Tuesday night, “is that it won’t end. The bad news is that you’ll wish it did.”

Her lectures are an annual January event for Mozier in Shepherstown as well as before audiences in Baltimore, Annapolis, Pittsburgh and her home of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

She researches historical events through the centuries, comparing how the planets lined up at the time as the basis for her predictions.

The movement of the planets in 1848 was similar to what they were last year, she said.

“Revolutions that year came seemingly out of nowhere to sweep across Europe,” she said.

Mozier said in 2005 she predicted the real estate crash of 2006 and in 2007 the economic downturn of 2008.

“People track me and they find that I have an 85 percent accuracy rate. That’s extremely high,” she said.

Many in Tuesday’s audience, mostly women, were diligently writing as she spoke.

Suzanne Offutt of Shepherdstown and Beth Brent of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., were taking notes Tuesday.

“Last year, she predicted a cataclysmic physical event and the tsunami hit Japan,” Offutt said. “She also predicted a shocking event in Korea in the fall.”

Brent said Mozier’s lectures are another way she can feel more connected with what’s happening in the world.

Mozier told the audience that there will be a “major disruption” from a natural disaster around June 24 this year and another one, this one man-made, around Sept. 19 that will affect transportation and communications.

She also predicted the 2012 presidential election will end up much like the 2000 election between Al Gore andGeorge W. Bush when recounts and challenges held up the outcome.

“It could be a while before we know (who won) this year,” she said.

Mozier earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from Cornell and Columbia universities, respectively.

She said she was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency upon graduation from Columbia for a position as a trends analyst.

Her job for 2 1/2 years was looking back at events in different periods to predict future events.

Mozier, who runs the Star Theatre, a movie house in Berkeley Springs, has written books and articles on astrology and travel in and out of West Virginia. She also offers daily astrology predictions.

As we face 2012, we approach the “Mayan Prophesy,” or the end of the Mayan calendar. Popular fiction has detailed the apocalyptic events we might expect as we near December 21, 2012.

Many world religions have within their doctrine prophesies of “end times.” There are always fringe groups, and even respected religious authorities, who believe that some cataclysmic change will occur at a particular date and time.

The past decade has indeed seen some major world events that many interpret as the beginning of the 2012 energy, or the “2012 Shift.” Many believe the economic crisis, the Gulf oil spill, various devastating earthquakes, tsunamis and other tragedies might simply be the run-up to 2012.

Whether or not there is a correlation between current world events and the Mayan calendar doesn’t matter. You need not be psychic to see we must soon change our behaviors and shift our consciousness if we plan to survive much longer. Whether it is what the Mayans intended or not, 2012 is a perfect time to work toward, and pray for, such a shift.

As I look toward the coming year, I see a lot of “same stuff, different year.” While I am certainly not predicting the end of the world, I don’t anticipate very much quantifiable change on a political, philosophical or economic level in 2012.

Ironically, 2012 is a presidential election year in the United States. At the time of this writing, I am predicting that Obama will serve another term as president, but his victory will be by a very narrow margin.

The political divisions in our country may begin to lessen as those to the far left and right of the political spectrum present as overly extreme. Both the Tea Party and the Occupy Movement may win more ridicule than respect. Toward the end of the year, the political pendulum may swing to the center, and centrist candidates may triumph on Election Day.

As we welcome 2012, there is increasing concern about problems with Iran. These issues will continue throughout 2012 and into the following years. Current posturing may lead to military action, but at this time, I feel war with Iran is not inevitable.

The Western economy will continue to falter. In the United States, the real estate market will remain sluggish. Wall Street will have a difficult year, and may experience greater intervention and regulation from Congress.

In pop culture, the trend toward personal creativity will continue. Home-brew internet radio and television will become more popular, as will independently released music, movies and books. Small businesses that offer opportunities for creativity will blossom and thrive. Open mikes, poetry slams and karaoke will be popular, as well as classes in art, cooking, knitting and jewelry making.

If 2012 is to be a year of major positive change, change must come from within each of us. If the consciousness of the planet is to shift, it must shift within each individual first. As the old song says, “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.”

Some people believe that the meaning behind the Mayan Prophesy is this. In 2012, the energy and impetus for us to make a needed shift will be available to us. In some cases, that energy can result in tragic events. In other cases, that energy can result in miracles.

I don’t think there will be either more large-scale tragedies or miracles in 2012 than there were in any other recent year. Each one of us always has the ability to create miracles for ourselves, and for others. As I see it, the 2012 energy empowers us to think and act as individuals, and as communities.
