Actually, she’s a pet communicator/animal psychic but it’s all the same really, and so when I contacted her (because there aren’t that many people in rural areas willing to hang out their shingle), she was more than willing to see me.

I came across an email from 2004, it was November. I had seen an add she placed in our local Women In Business section that comes out every year. And the timing was right. At the time, I decided to experience some alternative practitioners as I was awakening. I wanted the exposure to expand my mind and challenge my own stereotypes.

I saw Shirley Scott. At the time, she lived in Joseph, Oregon, but is now living in Walla Walla, Washington. While living in Joseph, she had a little bed and bath shop, where she also sold some of her paintings. She became fondly named “Jahosavich” or some such spelling to represent the local “Joseph Witch”. She was accepted and sought in her community.

I contacted her and set up an appointment. I met her at her shop and then we went to her house. She began to burn sage and to ask me about why I had come. I told her of my spiritual awakening and of feeling a bit overwhelmed by my new experiences.

From the email I sent to a friend in November 5, of 2004:

I went to pet communicator/psychic Shirley Scott in Joseph on Monday. She is really something else. I liked her a lot and think she is very gifted.

Some interesting things she said:

I am an old soul

She saw two rather angry druid elders with me and said I was a druid sorceress that once held the power of the universe (so to speak) and I misused it and tortured and hurt people. She said she saw me being warned back then that I had no idea what I was going to bring down on myself.

Judging by the flashes of past lives/deaths I’ve been having, I’ve had quite the karmic debt. She said she saw a line of people two deep on a road behind me stretching back into infinity waiting to come through me. She said I had to get that portal closed up and that my 7th Chakra was so wide it needed to be brought into balance. She did a brief energy thing to help me with it.

She saw my grandma with me (who I sense a lot), and at the time, four angels and a spirit guide she referred to as little Buddha or the little enlightened one…somebody she said studied under Buddha.

She told me to envision a cord running down my spine, to “mother earth”, and that she would tether me and ground me while at the same time envisioning the portal getting smaller and smaller and my head being filled with light. She said the spirits entering that way are in violation (not sure of what Divine law) and I need to demand that they leave, and if they don’t, call on the heavenly hosts to drag them into the light and then smudge.

She suggested I study Kabbahla.

She said I originated from the planet in the Andromeda galaxy. And, regarding what I am to let go of that I can’t seem to identify…to just let go of “it” and that it doesn’t matter what the “it” is…just state that.

She said my son is also an old soul and lead life/lives of true physical torture and thinks the world owes him. May take him thousands of years/lives to work through this. That he is at war internally, trying to figure it out, but also succuming to the behavior that holds him back.

I’ve been told before that I am a portal…or a way that spirits move from one plane to another…like a doorway. I don’t fully understand what that means, and to this day, have not been successful with closing my crown chakra…it remains wide open, sending out energy to others. And I have headaches all the time.

Also, since the time of this reading, I don’t really hold to the idea that spirits violate some divine order and that they must comply with certain rules. I think that’s people fear talking. I also ran across an old email from another pracitioner who stated that you were to tell spirits to leave, and that if you did it three times, they HAD to or they were in big trouble. Well, that certainly hasn’t been my experience. I seem to have a bit more authority and less fear than I did back then, but they typically blow past any boundary or ritual I’ve ever set up. And I am going to assume they are doing so because there are things they were sent here to teach me about boundaries and my own personal power. So I just deal with it.
